What do I like to Read.....?

i was amusing myself with the question under the "profile" questions regarding what your favorite books are and began to think that how that question makes sense to me: asking instead: what exactly is on your bookshelf, strewn across the floor or piled next to the bed, in the bathroom? when i look over all these places in my home i realize some of what i read is not that interesting but is something i'm supposed i to read or looks interesting at the thrift store and only costs 10cents....

so, my question is:
can i see your list of what's lying about your house- read or unread? ( and- what can u get for 10 cents?)

here's a couple things, on my shelf, no rhyme or reason:

- 'Nerhling's Plants, People, and Places in Early Florida?' (old Henry N. seemed a rather destitute but brilliant botanist who became enamoured with caladiums when he went to the Chicago's World Fair and eyed them for the first time. He moves immediately to Naples, Florida and for the rest of his life he hung out in these huge warehouses with all these donated exotics and native plants until he died.) quirky but rather fascinating if you like plants...a bonus historical take on old Florida

- Gramatica Da Lingua- An English/ Portuguese Grammar Dictionary well, really just a big yawn for me

- the Vegetarian Epicure, Book Two: an un-granola-like tome on vegetarian food that i consult occasionally.

- Pro-Golf '92/ Volvo Tour European Tour Media Guide: this is the player guide for the tour when i worked it in Europe. i like to keep it for my guy friends who like to talk about golf.

(so Book Boy (malcolm harold), what about you?)
